Spend some time on a job site, and count things with your child. How many bulldozers do you count? What about hardhats? Count them with your child and spin the wheel to show the number.

Each page has quite a bit going on. Even if you aren’t interested in counting and spinning the wheel, you can talk about the workers moving boards, wheeling dirt, or shoveling. You can talk about birds flying, the cityscape, or any number of other things. They managed to accomplish this without making any of the pages too busy. I also love all of the colors— you get all of the primary and secondary colors displayed throughout this book.

Durability: Pages are unusually thick; I actually tried to bend the page and I applied a lot of force before giving up.

My one gripe is that you have to spin the wheel too many times to get to each number. I don’t think my 18 month old is willing to do that, so I am usually the one spinning the wheel.

Cute book! Would recommend if your child is interested in trucks.
