This is a reference work of limited utility.
The subtitle of this work, A Checklist of Works Published in the United States, March 1939--May 1972, informs us that it is clearly limited as a complete bibliography. Asimov didn't die until 1992 and continued writing until the year of his death. (Some of the works are still being published for the first time as of 2011.) Twenty years output of a prolific writer who wrote over 500 opera in his 53 years of writing is not an insignificant number of works.
Since this work lacks on the order of 200 books, I would not recommend it to anyone who is not limiting their interest to his early works.
