Milne has numerous, creative ideas for using leftover fabrics. This book is awesome because it's full of ideas that can be adapted to one's own fabric choices. Makes me want to sew.

Contains instructions on how to make pretty jewellery and twee little bits and bobs from fabric scraps. For larger items the fabric scraps are generally machined together in a particular technique. I'm not fond of it myself but it's pretty effective. Book has good photos and clear instructions

This shows a different take on using up scrap fabric (usually strips) with using rug canvas fabric instead of the bigger blocks and using heavyweight pellon to achieve the same result.

While a little too modern-found-art-eclectic looking for my tastes, it would be great for projects to do with kids to show that you don't have to throw things away instead they can be re-used for other things.

I really loved the idea of using cloth scraps to create various artsy objects. This would be a great book for home schoolers, I think, as it encourages creativity and innovation. I like the tips that she lists (i.e. Trouble-shooting sewing machine problems).
