I suspect that speculative fiction about Australian Constitutional Law is a very specific sub-genre. This is a most turgid book. It might have been faintly amusing in 1976 when it was published. 42 years later it still raises a faint snigger or two, but on the whole the Australian Constitution is much more interesting read. This does have one sterling quality, however - I would highly recommend it to insomniacs who need to bore themselves to sleep.
