Cassidy Barron's is struggling with her recent divorce from her cheating husband. To deal with her pain, she has decided to take a job in Australia to escape.
Before she leaves she promised her twin brother Caleb to participate in his favorite pastime, a Civil War reenactment. The surprise is on Cassidy when Caleb shows up with their childhood friend Ty Markson whom they both have had a mutual crush on each other.
Ty & Cassidy have a moonlight rondeau by the lake which has desire, passion & emotion with genteel & manners of the Civil War era. They go to their separate ways with the occasional chatting across continent or updates from Caleb.
Cassidy must comes back to the states due to a family emergency. Caleb has a serious accident, during a Civil war reenactment. The family needs to come together & find out the outcome of Caleb's paralysis. During this family crisis Ty & the rest of the reenactor's, including Cassidy's ex-husband arrive to the hospital. Cass is not sure how her securities are holding up between her brothers condition & seeing her cheating ex.
She decides to take Ty's offers to stay at his place while her parents, friends stay at a hotel.
This sexual endeavors was the opposite of their passionate night by the lake.

Tyler and Cassidy are part of a Civil War enactment group. They are on a last group together before Cassidy moved to Australia. Casey's brother is part of the group but is injured when a runaway Canon runs over him and hurts him pretty badly. This causes Tyler and Cassidy to draw closely together and to fall in love. A great story.
