Grant was just your everyday Bartender…at least that’s what LaShay thought. They’d been working together for the last five months, and although he was drop dead gorgeous; LaShay was sure he was going for the little hot blond honeypot Melody. But when he suddenly invited her home for a drink…LaShay got more than she bargained for…and not only did he affect the witch in her…but her life would forever be changed because of it. Dragons and Faries…LaShay was having a hard time telling where myth ended….and Legend began…
I can't take this book. It was just.... First off if the characters "wailed" or smiled, or grinned at one more thing! The "wailing" for very description of action giving in this book drove me batty! Ish just came too easy and Shay was too darn hood for my constitution. I understand she was new to some extent, but I'm sure she was taught manners and decorum. Graeme winked and grinned too much for a Fae that is centuries old. I didn't want him to be extremely static, but he was too relaxed for such a strong beast. This was just an erotic fairytale for an adult with a fairytale fetish. It was just team too much. I hope this author storytelling develop as she continues to explore her writing skills. The potential was there but she need a moment to study and perfect her gift.
This was an interesting read from this author and her take on the Faerie world. This book revolves around Shay and Graeme and their journey of not only finding themselves but in realizing their full potential in what they can do together. Shay is struggling to come to terms with her new found abilities and the secrets she discovers that her parents were keeping from her. Graeme is accepting of all his new found abilities and powers and is helping Shay along the way. Things get even more interesting when they both escape the real world and are in the Fae one. Read on to discover all the events that take place, you won't be disappointed. Looking forward to book 2!!!
I loved this book! Especially because the character was "Dark Skinned," like myself. This book was sexy, hot, and enjoyable. I love books where the BM is strong, and doesn't necessiarily need the man, but that just makes it better. I also liked the fact that Grant was a Happy Fairy, it's kinda what we think when we think of fairies. This was a good book, and I hope to read more from this author.
I really enjoyed this. I am always looking for bwwm supernatural books. I cant wait to see what happen next. the biggest issue i had was the constant he/she "wailed and cried" for when the characters spoke
