I irrationally hate this book. I get that this might be just one of my buttons but here is the crux of my issue with this book - it is very much written from the perspective of the parent - and how much the parent likes feeling loved, likes feeling the special bond, likes when the child snuggles up close. It puts a bit too much of the emotional work on the child to fulfill the parents needs.

I do appreciate the fact that the flaps are cardboard instead of paper so I think it will hold up really well.
