Ended up having to return this to the library before I got very far into it. I was excited by the different themes for the various walks but the Victorian era didn't grab me as much as the civil engineering one had (see: Walking Tours of Boston's Made Land). I may check it out in the future and finish it at a later date.

As a volunteer with Boston By Foot, this book represents for me a treasure chest of the kind of Boston history that our group loves to dig into. Boston is well known for its Revolutionary War era activities, and with good cause. But post-1776, a lot more happened in Boston than most people know!
I am eager to take myself on some walking tours with this book's guidance and explore more of the heroic history of Boston's women, abolitionists, philosophers and artists.

I love All things Victorian, but this came across as rather dry and unexciting. I was disappointed in it.
