I had the pleasure of meeting Pat Farrell at the Academy of Spiritual Formation, and the privilege of hearing her speak one evening. Her testimony was filled with humor, and her passion for Christ was clear. I looked forward to reading her book and was not disappointed. She tells her story simply and directly, and shares the Bible verses that have spoken to her. Highly recommended.

I read the wrong book. I was planning on reading short story also called "Faith House", but ended up reading this one instead. When I clicked on Amazon from the other book's page, it took me to this one. I didn't realize until the 21st chapter (i know) that I was reading the wrong book. I was very confused when I found that this was a nonfiction book and didn't mention anything about Christmas. But, anyway, I enjoyed the author's story, even though it didn't exactly relate to me. It was inspiring, and I'm sure it inspired many women. This author clearly has a beautiful heart and a heart after God. Even though I would have preferred the other book, I'm glad I read this one.

I had a hard time focusing on this book. It is a collection of memories of the author's life. She talks about her childhood and why she ended up the way she did, and talks about how God healed her. There were a lot of good stories, but it felt disconnected to me.
