I recall trying to use this book while playing around with salvaged electronics.. I mean, if anything would need to be repaired "without a schematic" it would be stuff from the dump, right? Now it could be me, as I'm no professional, but I couldn't follow homer. It's like he assumes he's talking to a fellow electronics technician with all kinds of knowledge a mere hobbyist lacks. Unfortunately how useful this book is now no longer matters... few people (other than me)don't even have tube tv's anymore as well as most things he talks about in this book.
