Rate this book
In 1988 Australia's Quilters' Guild commissioned forty-three quilt makers from all over the country to create small quilts that could tour the whole country -- even to remote areas, thus the Suitcase Exhibitions were born. This presents the quilters and their quilts from this project. Each double page spread has a snapshot of the quilt maker and their commentary on their designs, the facing page is a full page color photo of the quilt. 9.75 inches tall, 96 pages.

A look into what inspires Australian Quilters. I was surprised by the various backgrounds and ages of the participants, but the quilts were quite stunning, and different. I think my favorites were: Pretty Point Bay by Christa Roksandic and Morning Call by Pamela Taunton
