Hello this is @relectures_by_kay (Raina) here !!
So couple of month ago I received this book from @sophiaabid and I'm feeling very proud to tell you guys that she is the Pakistan's first youngest internationally published author.❤
In this book she narrated a story of girl named MIA (main character) having androgenic alopecia (disorder In which females lake their hair) Mia in her teenage was having mood swings, Anger and compulsive actions that lead her to suicidial behaviors. In this same time she finds the love of her life MILES CARTER and she learn how to stop worrying and start living happily but the love story didnt stay for long and what happen next for that I want you to read the book 😛 MIA was struggling for her mental health this book has so many sides from where you can connect your life and feels from what actually Mia was going through. The ending wasn't happy but totally unexpected.🍂
The book has so many positive sides whereas The author had written it so beautifully ashe's just 17 at that time there are so many beautiful lines that I adore the most ❤

A very emotional book. Writing is such that you FEEL for the main character and that helps you understand and connect better with her. Explores many themes all of which were beautifully done. A lot of heartbreaking moments but so many empowering ones too. While the plot twist upset me it was unexpected. A very important story that needs to be heard. Read this book!!!!

5/5 🤍 this book sends a really important and worthwhile message.
I wear a wig is one of those rare books that so expertly, sadly, wonderfully, horrifically captures the protagonist's pain. A story which dragged my heart along the ground without once feeling melodramatic or cliche or overdone.Sophia Abid is truly fantastic and I hope this is the start of a long and beautiful love affair between myself and her novels.

This book beautifully deals with many themes in such a way that the reader instantly connect with it, finding one of the themes relatable to himself and as for writing style, it's something I liked the most. While reading it I never felt that I was reading a book it was more like reading someone's personal diary entries which made it more easy to connect with Mia and her feelings as they were so openly showcased through this writing style.✨

Incredibly emotional read which took me to the darkest place inside me. I have never cried like this while reading a book. This book shook hands with the most darkest part of me which is well hidden. It has given me a lot of perspective about people with suicidal tendencies.
"Maybe you came in my life because you wanted to shatter all that was left in me and it was nothing"
These words have left a big dent in my heart. 100% recommended.

Pain demands to be felt.
(Chapter Sixteen, I Wear A Wig By Sophia Abid)

Life does not always pan out as one wishes. We have dreams, make plans and fantasize a utopian world in our minds. But life fizzles out or goes a bit pear shaped.
That's how Mia's life is. Her life has many twists and turns and sometimes what looks like very bad day can be just clearing the way for good things to come. She hails from adolescence. Mia's life brings her at the verge of depression, anger, mood swings that ultimately leads her to suicidal behaviour. Concurrently, she finds the love of her life, Miles Carter Ellenberger, who introduces her a new world which starts to fade soon.

Her ailment did not excruciate her as much as her beloved's distance did. She found the separation intolerable and considered death as the only way out.

Mia, a severely wounded girl, felt every bit of paimn in her life. Will she rest in peace after death? Or Her pain demands to be felt after death too?

The increasing suspense of this novel made me flip pages like nothing else.”We are all in the thirst of finding beauty not knowing it shines beneath the core of our soul.”This piece of fiction “I WEAR A WIG” is skillfully writen by my creative cousin ,Sophia Abid,in which a wig has an important role in the main character’s life.Writing has been her passion since she was 9.I think this novel is really very inspiring for this youth.Mia is a star from another universe and Miles is like weather-unpredictible.I think you all will definitely love this marvellous piece of fiction. My favourite part is when she becomes fearless of what she is facing in her life. This book is a brilliant work of fiction. It would be an incredible experience, reading this prodigious novel so don’t miss the boats and get your copies now from the nearest book store.

To say that this book was revolting would be an understatement. Nothing brings me more pain than realising I willingly paid for this crap. I have not known peace since I picked this up. On several occasions, I have taken this book everywhere with me only to show my friends and family how absurd it is so someone could finally understand the psychological torment I had to go through while reading it. The plot is bland, the characters are flavourless, the romance is illegal and the education system described in this makes as much sense as a frog riding a bicycle. However, this book did teach me how terrible parenting leads to kids who think a compliment on twitter from a lowkey (not really) pedophile is considered tRuE LoVe. If there was an option for 0 stars, I would’ve taken it.
