there’s a lot to unpack!

Overall, I did enjoy the book! I do feel like a lot of the choices that Tierra made was rooted in the constant family secrets she learned about! I feel like her grandmother did the best she could with raising her , but her mom completely checked out really affected the whole family dynamic.

Tierra went through ALOT, being SA and copping with her constant family issues where she used drugs as her vice. I felt so sorry for her, I’m even in the end, although she did both Caden and Michelle wrong they were there for her.

But was this a cliff hanger? I would have like to see more on her meeting her bio dad and possibly more about her and Caden??

Wow

I liked how it started out to be about school and her parents hiding something from her about her paternity. Her never saying what happened to her with the professor. Im confused about the ending as to why did it end with a cliffhanger i did expect more to happen between her and Jackson and caden getting to know each other.i do hope there's more in store for this book. Good book though.

EXCELLENT book. This was one of the first books I borrowed when I signed up with KindleUnlimited. I got so excited so I just started borrowing a bunch of books and stopped reading this one, but not because it wasn’t good. It was great! Very well written. The story is told from several perspectives. The main character is a college aged young woman who falls into a life of stripping and drugs when a family secret is reveiled after her father dies. The premise was good, but the MC had so many wonderful memories of growing up--not one dark memory--that her descent into that negative lifestyle didn’t make sense to me. I can understand hurt and anger and wanting to distance herself from those who perpetrated the lie, but there seemed to be little motivatio for the self destruction. Also the book was told from several perspectives and the other stories did not seem to have conclusion at the end. Despite those few small things I really liked this book. I’ve read another book by this author and will definitely be reading more.
