One man can save the government…if they don’t stop him first.
Severin Force is a soldier, a patriot, and a loner. With a uniquely agreeable personal scent. Formerly a Ranger, a SEAL, and a Delta operator, he has just been drafted by Division Seven Division, a brand-new, off-book terrorist-deletion team.
When anonymous interests train small animals for deadly missions and grind the government to a halt, Force and his teammates have three days to hunt down clues from around the globe. And stop the killing.
The nation is paralyzed and the President is compromised. There are leaks and betrayals at every level. As the damage spreads and the mission stalls, Force realizes that the toxic plot reaches into the top tier of the Washington elite. And may have started with a traitor in his squad.
Interesting Thriller with Great New Characters and Sizzling Scenes
I really enjoyed this first book I have read by this author! Great plots with a completely new type of hero, Severin Force, an extremely well-trained operator in an explosive new off the book team. There is romance, humor, betrayal and intensive missions designed to stop a horrendous attack on the American political system! Small dogs are used to get themselves into top sponsors of political parties houses, which then are exploded by implanted devices, destroying that home and people in it! Such a despicable act that hits all Americans hard, the small dogs being usefully at many heart strings.. The commando team travels several countries before Force realizes that someone is sending them to keep them out of the USA while destruction happens. The President is a woman, who has separated from her husband and is in love with a woman on her team, and she finds herself being blackmailed about her love life! The situations that this author uses are many and varied, keeping you interested in the story right until the explosive ending... I really hope this is the start of a series, as the ending seems to suggest...I read this story from AXP Elite Readers and author Marcus Cootsona, who I sincerely thank for a wonderful adventure, which I give 5 big stars, and I am able to put my thoughts in this review to hopefully catch a reader's eye!!
I like not only the quick pace of this book and the multiple settings but the thematic, too. The protagonist is interesting and the writing darkly funny with quite a bunch of recognizable pop-culture moments.
The story begins with Force and the other D7 team members in Belgium on a successful mission. When they arrive on their flight back they discover that instead of going on R&R they have a new mission, 3 will go to France and Force and the other three will remain in the D.C. It seems that an unknown group has attacked political donors homes by blowing them up in California. Their mission is to discover who was behind it. In addition to their team, POTUS has gotten the FBI involved headed by Corker.
Follow Force and he eventually goes on his own to figure out who was responsible. Discover what other events this unknown group gets involved with, what locations they end up going to in addition to the addition of Agent Dial from the FBI. Learn what clues eventually give them a focus of where to concentrate the efforts on.
The action is immense and the story will definitely keep your interest. This is a great start to this series, don't miss out!
I love this political thriller that grabbed me from the beginning and kept me in its grip to the end. Definitely some surprises in store but this story has enough amusement to keep you entertained (laughing) throughout! Excellent!
I received this book from the author and am voluntarily providing my honest opinion.
This is a great book if you like a load of nonsense. The plot is totally improbable, as are the characters. There is intent to use funny language, but it's totally over the top. Some might find it funny, and at least there is a timeline in the story, hence the generous 2 stars.
Rather silly book. At times it is nonsensical. Attaching bombs to cute little white dogs (think Bichon) and blowing up fundraising parties is not a ' fun' twist in a spy novel. I think the author's tongue is too far in his cheek. Maybe he'll choke on it.
Fast paced and exciting story of a new group on par with the SEALS. Follow along as they travel all over the world searching out the evil accomplices. Looking forward to more Severin Force books.
I loved this book and wish I had read the earlier ones to see the journey that Severin Force is on in keeping the U.S.A. safe. It was a VERY surprising ending which left me looking for more!~
