Gina Gallo is a mob goddaughter who doesn't want to be one. She's left her loopy family behind to elope with Pete to Vegas. Except that eloping may be a mortal sin in an Italian family. Between that and some weird deliveries and suitors, Gina's nerves are frayed. Vegas is full of great acts, but one impersonation is real: Gina has a crime-committing double whose activities are making Gina front-page news. Gina has to track down this fiendish fraud before the police catch up with her. And, of course, cousin Nico is along for the ride.
Another madcap adventure for the loveable Gallo cousins that proves the rule "Why should things go right when they can go wrong?"

Five stars for the final book in the series because it's light, funny, fast-paced, and I had a moving film version in my thoughts as I read. This is a perfect read for the holidays or for anyone with a loud, crazy extended family. The fact that the fictional character is part of a mob family is not problematic as these stories are not gruesome or disturbing. Rather, they are ridiculous and full of funny antics - a great escape.
Melodie Campbell is one of my favorite authors. She is one of the few who can make me laugh out loud with her Gina Gallo series. In her new book Gina is going to Vegas to get married. She knows things are not going to go smoothly because she saw some crows. As you are reading you will keep wondering will she or won't she make it to the altar. This book can be read in one sitting and will keep you laughing.
Gina Gallo has run off to Vegas to get married. But will she really make it to the alter. Someone is using her identity and she must find them before the police find her. What a cute book. Funny, fast paced, likable characters. I'm ready for another one to come out.
I received this from LibraryThing Early Reviewer for an honest review.
Melodie Campbell does not disappoint in the latest Goddaughter outing. This novel was fun, whimsical with crime and punishment, but in a lighthearted way. A perfect escape. I highly recommend it, especially for travel and other places you wont't want to lug around a thick tome.
Gina and her fiance elope to Vegas hoping to escape her mafia family for a nice quiet wedding. However, things go terribly wrong - as they tend to do wherever Gina goes. Turns out that someone has stolen her identity and has used it on sugar daddy dot com and has fleeced several unwitting men out of expensive items and also lured them all to Vegas as well. Will Gina and Pete actually get their wedding or will Gina end up in jail? A fun little hi-lo more appropriate for high school or "new adult" but no sex or swearing or even drinking or violence to make it inappropriate.
All of the books I have read thus far in the Goddaughter series have offered clever and witty writing, a fast pace and lots of laugh out loud moments. Can't wait to read the next adventure of Gina Gallo, the "reluctant goddaughter" of the local crime boss!
This book was good it was just a short book and therefore didn't have a whole lot of detail. I might try the other ones in this series because the main character seems to have an interesting life, but I don't really like short books because of a lack of detail/descriptions
