If Mom Became an Octopus

My mom sometimes complains to me she needs a few more hands
To help her with the chores like taking trash out to the can
But...

Follow a lazy boy's wild imagination as he envisions all the different animals his mother could become to make his life easier. An octopus to do all the chores. A cheetah to zip him to school. A fish so she doesn't even need to sleep!

With each new animal the boy just knows he'll be the envy of all his friends. But will he be happy with how his mom looks in the end? Maybe there's something he can do to make life a little better for both of them.

Children will enjoy the silly pictures and rhyming story while relating to the boy's day-to-day tasks any family faces, as much as parents will appreciate the touching lesson to be learned.

This award winning book is already a highly requested bedtime favorite by cozy little readers. A must have for any book collection.

Cute story with a moral

If Mom was an Octopus by CM Healy is a cute children's story about a mother wishing for more arms so she can get more done. The child pictures her as various animals. He finally figured out she really needs more help and gives her that.

I love the rhymes and rhythms of this cute book. This little boy is wanting his mom to be several creatures so that she can do more, having enough time to spend time with him. If Mom Became an Octopus is adorable with the so very cute illustrations on each page by Laura Goshell. I especially enjoyed the facial expressions and the different creatures the mom represents. The cover is beautiful and very eye catching for children.

Another great children's book for parents, teachers, librarians and other who have small children, to check out to have for kids to love and enjoy. Your children will love this sweet story, and the solution to the problem is a very nice way to teach children a valuable lesson.

I want to thank the author for a Kindle copy of this book. I was not expected to write a positive review. The opinions here in this review are my opinions alone.

I like this book because it shows kids that their moms do a lot and that an extra hand helps them. I like that at the end of this book that there were some facts about the animals featured in this book. This book also shows that if you help people it might make more time for people to play with you.

Sometimes I wish I could morph into creatures

This is a cute story about how kids could help around the house. A boy’s imagination takes him on a journey of how his mom could morph into different creatures but realizes that maybe if he helps around the house, his mom would have more time with him.

Playful Story

Easy to follow along with the vibrant illustrations, it is a creative tale churning one child's imagination about her chores. Great lesson on being kind, helpful around the house and offering before being asked. ☺

At first I was concerned

At first I was concerned this book was just about a mom complaining. But it's a sweet book with a great ending and a surprising appendix of interesting animal facts. I highly recommend this book..

This book highlights how important, busy and special moms are and teaches kids that it's great to lend a hand (or tentacle) :) around the home! Well written and fun!

It was funny seeing the mum become all the animals. I think my mum should be a cheetah, then she can run so fast when we scooter. Review from Pat the 4 year old.
