This brief version of the popular Cul tural Anthropology, 12/e by the same author team, Human Culture, 1/e provides a scientific introduction to cultural anthropology and helps students understand how humans vary culturally and why they got to be that way. The size of the book makes it useful for quarter courses, as well as for courses that encourage a lot of supplemental reading. This new edition highlights migration and immigration in the context of globalization.
This is a really wonderful scholarly publication regarding anthropology and cross cultural research and comparisons. Each chapter is structured in the same way regarding the major themes that define each society so the entire text is very 'readable' from cover to cover. It is also wonderful how each chapter builds on the one before it into the conclusion. If you have to take a class about anthropology and this is NOT your textbook, use it to supplement your learning and you will have no questions on the subject matter whatsoever.
★★☆☆☆ — This is no fun to read at all. And I really LIKE Anthropology. If you like this, you may be the type of person doesn't enjoy fiction. Possibly. Just making an observation.
