I met David in missions school as he taught us about animism. Being introduced to his books, this was the last one I had to read and it was actually the best! I don't think this is a book for just missionaries, but anyone who calls themself a Christian. It's amazing how spiritist rituals have interwoven themselves into culture and we don't even know about it! Additionally, he gives some great insight on what it means to be a disciple and discipler. I highly recommend this informative and practical insight into what it truly means and costs to spread the gosepl.

This book is excellent, very informative, and an easy and entertaining read. I recommend this to all people working in tribal cultures. I could be wrong, but I don’t think it’s in print anymore, so get it while supplies last!

Sitton does an excellent job explaining Animism. By listing the practical out workings of this particular world view and comparing it to ours he provides a window by which we can understand an entirely different paradigm. Extremely helpful to those interested in loving and reaching tribal people of the world.
