Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six is a media franchise created by American author Tom Clancy about a fictional international counter-terrorist unit called "Rainbow." The franchise began with Clancy's novel Rainbow Six, which was adapted into a successful series of tactical first-person shooter video games.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six is a great book, but not for every reader. It is a fairly easy book to read, though it has lengthy chapters and has 897 pages that takes a while to read, but it has barely if any slow parts filled with well than enough important information throughout the deration. The perspective of the book constantly jumps from character to character with in a single chapter always giving good in-depth insights into what a specific character thinks or knows which made me forget how long the book really was. Now about the story it is about a highly secretive multi country counter terrorist organization built to combat terrorism as efficient and swift as possible. There is no clear main character from the crew but one man does stand out as the focal point John clark. An ex CIA, navy seal, air marshal, ex everything a man with great experience in the field, but has lived to the good old age of fifty-four he's also been featured in several of tom clancy's other books. The book is very realistic some much so Tom Clancy used assets from the CIA. As well as, other sources to be as realistic as possible. The action in the book how every is still movie and gritty like. Possible the best thing about the book is the characters reading it I could almost picture them as real world people they have some of the best character developments i've seen or read. The book has two bad guy antagonists you almost secretly root for (they dont start of as terrorists and one never does.) These characters are introduced separately making them a good filler from the counter terrorist agents and the boarding political officials scenes. Making it like a mystery book that the audience already knows the answers to. Even though lengthy, I would recommend this to anyone who likes a gritty action thriller.
