As I said, I am obsessed with June Jordan. This is a book she wrote for children about coping with a new child and coexsisting with siblings without killing each other. The book had a simple, very real plot line about the problems of living black in the projects. The language was beautiful, and it was the first children's book by her I read that struck me as a children's book. I like the illustrations.

The onlyt hing that concerns me is the portrayel of two brothers living in a room with a little sister; while sometimes necassaray, it should not be included in a child's book because children of those ages and sexs should not be sharing a roomm together. Other than that, this is a good little book.
