Liam Mac Uistin is the author of The Táin, (O'Brien Press) a hugely popular book for the young reader on this great Celtic epic.
This book had a promising plotline which was unfortunately ruined by highly dubious subplots which forced me not to take this book seriously. I feel the author could have added at least another hundred pages to the book in order to iron out the wrinkles that are the flimsy prextexts by which the subplots were advanced. Bhios beagnach tri realtai a bhronnadh don leabhar, ach nil se sin chun a tharla anois.
