Rate this book
Starless: The 1947 Pittsburgh Steelers is the story of Pittsburgh's first NFL playoff team. They were an unlikely set of no-name brawlers who came together to make a championship run. Massey’s story of the 1947 Pittsburgh Steelers is a must read. He obviously spent a lot of time researching the team (front office, coaches and players), as there are so many stories about each and every individual associated with the 1947 Steelers. Great personal stories about the team members, and remarkable details from each game during this wonderful season. Massey also does a wonderful job giving the reader back stories about Steeler lore. A wonderful read and extremely well done.
