I really enjoyed learning about Italy. It is on my bucket list of places that I want to visit. I like how this series of books walks kids through the living, school life, food, activities and festivals of the country. Kids can see how other kids around the world live.
On top of Italian words you can learn and famous people that have come from Italy the book also provides other resources that might be helpful to learn more about Italy. They list books, websites and videos to watch.
These books are really good for research in higher elementary.

This book will be used to assist in building community in the classroom. Our society is so diverse that it is almost a guarantee that teachers will encounter students from another culture. This book could be used to introduce the Italian culture. Students can express their experiences in other cultures verbally or through text.
