Aviv is a fighter pilot with the Israeli air force, a man with years of combat experience in Phantom jets. Ibrahim is a Palestinian freedom fighter, the underdog in the battle against an Israeli state whose formation he and his type had no say in. They are on opposite sides of a bitter conflict, one with the might of a nation behind him, one with a loose network of men striving to regain what they consider as their country. This is the story of both of their lives, from birth to old age. It is the story of the birth of the country of Israel, of its constant struggle for survival. It is also the story of the Palestinians and their continued claim to a land that was once all theirs. But times change, and a new force is taking over the region, a force that has little value for life, whether the life is Israeli or Palestinian. It forces Aviv and Ibrahim to set aside old differences, to find some common ground and battle the new evil. This is a story about the long running disputes between Israel and Palestine, and how a mutual enemy forces the two sides to work together.
