Starts with an issue of action, with crisp and clean artwork, moving fluidly - environments and costumes especially are beautifully designed - and ends on a terrific cliffhanger. Remaining issues keep up the pace, but the impetus and finale depend largely on background which is never fleshed out, leaving both the protagonist's motivation and the emotional punch needed for the climax somewhat lacking.
