Anna Świderkówna was a Polish writer and educator - Polish literary historian, classical philologist, papyrologist, biblical scholar, translator; professor at the University of Warsaw, populariser of knowledge about antiquity and the Bible.

She wrote a number of books about the Bible, including a series Rozmowy o Biblii ("Talks on the Bible") (1994-2006).
