The Celtic Saints of the Channel Islands

Rate this book
Father Luke's book brings together some of the oldest sources of the history and beginnings of Christianity on the Channel Islands. Anyone interested in the early history of the Channel Islands will find Father Luke's attention to detail rewarding. Here is an insight into the life of The Channel Islands in the fifth and sixth centuries. Because the sea was the main way to travel, we hear of visitors, pirates and shipwrecks, we hear of plague and famine: all woven into the daily lives of the saints. Not only a good book for local people to read but also for students of the early Middle Ages. In fact I can commend it to anyone interested in the stories and legends of the early Church.
