One of the first (modern) books by sex workers. Especially good because Jaget includes women involved in the 1975 French prostitutes' strike in Lyon against the police and the Catholic Church.

narra les protestes i el tancament de més de cent treballades sexuals l’any 1975 a l’església de saint-nizier de lió i ho acompanya de diversos manifestos i el testimoni valuosíssim de sis d’elles. la interseccionalitat es fa evident en el relat. és una denúncia a la pobresa, l’estigmatització i les violències masclistes, és un llibre contra la policia i l’estat prohibicionista i punitivista.

the clearest, leanest testimony of pros in 1980s France. it’s brutal to hear these stories out, to learn about a social ecosystem that no longer exists the way the existed then.
