A fun, sweet romance about meeting The One and trying to deny it. You can run from love, but if you friend it on social media, you really can't hide from it.
A Cozy Coastie Christmas was a steamy romance between a college student and a coast guard. Cara North held my interest with her independent main character, a coquettish best friend, and a "unicorn" love interest. Eilish falls hard for coast guard. She tries to walk away, but after experiencing a night of unfathomable pleasure, she can't forget him. Will fate intercede in their lives again, or will it become a one-night stand that dances across her dreams? The story was a short, fun read. It's a romance you can read any time of year, since Christmas isn't the central focus. I listened to the audio version, and the narrator, Lucille Campbell-Crowne did a great job with the female voices. She read the scenes at a consistent speed, and the breaks weren't extended. I recommend the story to mature readers, as there are sexual situations (in case you couldn't tell from the cover :) ).
I really enjoyed this book. It was short and sweet and so adorable! I normally don't like holiday-themed books. At least not when it comes to romances. They are just so cheesy and predictable. This one is way different. I wanted to reach out to people and gush about the book! I guess I shouldn't be surprised. This is an amazing author who is amazing with descriptions and words.
