Well, it definitely wasn’t love at first sight for Kelsea Anderson and Landon St. Clair! “You’re insufferable, Brandon St. Fair!” she shouted. “If they crossed a gopher with a baboon, you would be the result!” Yep, match made in heaven. Lol.

Erin Stevenson has exactly the sort of lively, engaging writing style that I love to read in contemporary romance, and she’s one of those writers who can pull off first person point-of-view effortlessly. The situation her characters are in also happens to be the perfect excuse to let the sass and sparks fly, with Kelsea and Landon forced to play at being happy newlyweds when, in fact, they’re total strangers who’re “honeymooning” alone after being jilted and therefore feeling a little jaded about this whole “love” gig. It meant that they weren’t always putting their best foots (feet?) forward initially, but there were enough glimpses of their true personalities to reassure readers that they aren’t always that irascible!

In any event, a lot can change in a week…which felt a little quick in some respects, but also seemed in keeping with these characters’ personalities. The second half of the story had some surprising developments that led to a rather dramatic climax. Great reading if you love a good showdown (and I do!), but with the caveat that I had to suspend disbelief a little at this point, as it relied on a few coincidences to come together the way it did and I felt as though the hero and heroine took certain things a little too much in their stride. I would have been all, “Whoa, wait a minute here. I gotta process!”

In summary, a quick, lively, and engaging read for contemporary romance lovers who don’t mind a little bit of drama.

Plan B was a really fun and relaxing contemporary romance! It was told in a combination of first person from Kelsea’s perspective and third person for the hero, Landon. The characters and perspectives switched with each chapter and I found that I enjoyed this method of storytelling.

Landon and Kelsea both arrived heartbroken at the honeymoon resort and were not happy to be paired together. I appreciated the way the author slowly created an understanding between the two that grew to friendship and eventually to more.

This was definitely a feel-good romance and there were some cute laugh-out-loud moments for me. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

First things first, of course, this is an amazing author because her name is Erin. It’s an amazing name and people with this name do amazing things.

But aside from that, this is a wonderfully written dress. I fell in love with the characters and immediately knew that I was going to sit right there and finish this book before I could do anything else.

Lucky for me the book read quickly. But then it gave me a teaser of book two in the series and well, let’s just say that wasn’t nice because then I needed to go find that one, which led to book three. It’s a never-ending story that you’re going to need to read!

I really enjoyed the island getaway that they were both going to as their honeymoon. The couple running it are so sweet and conniving. You can’t help but love them and want them to succeed!

I’m not sure what else I can say before I give too much away so I’m going to stop here and say these are now my family members and I really hope that this series gets added to because I have loved it so much!

A delightful escape, filled with matchmaking, and new beginnings.

This is a completely charming read, set in a paradise escape. I loved the chemistry between Landon and Kelsea as they get to know each other and bond over their similar situations. I liked the natural interaction, as they warm to each other, and how they come to embrace their time in St. Jardin, making the best of a bad situation.

Rose and Ike are darling, I couldn't help but smile at Rose's schemes and adorable methods of throwing "Brandon" and Kelsea together. I loved how Landon stands up for Kelsea and how they both have a great network of friends.

A delightfully charming, humorous romantic comedy set in a beautiful paradise location, with fantastic characters that brought a smile to my face. This was a quick read, that I devoured in one sitting. Highly engaging and enjoyable sweet, clean romance. Definitely recommend!

This was a nice , light quick read. I laughed at some of the shenanigans going on. I know it’s not funny but what are the chances that two single people go on their honeymoon after getting dumped? Can you say awkward? Kelsea is a sweet character ready to say I do. A few days before the wedding, she is dumped. Landon finds himself jilted at the altar. Here they both are in a sea of newlyweds at a resort where love is in full swing. I loved the description about the resort and how much fun it would be to go there.

I don’t believe in coincidences and I’m thinking that the couple that own the resort were put there by God. They have a heart for couples and I loved how they shared their story with Landon and Kelsea. Now it’s no surprise to me how the story went but I still enjoyed following the adventure. The faith is light in the story and there were a couple of questionable scenes that I thought may have been a bit much. Overall nice story and I will be looking for the next book in the series.

Plan B was a romantic story about second choices, choices that were always better for us anyway. You take two people, one jilted before the wedding and one at the altar and both decide to take the honeymoon trip anyway. Have a pair of matchmaking resort owners put them together and you have the makings of a very cute romantic adventure.

Kelsea and Landon are not each other's types. But as they are forced together as a pretend couple, they get to know each other. And in the getting to know one another and thinking they will not see each other again, they open up more than what they normally would. And what happens is magical.

I enjoyed going to this tropical resort and watching two broken hearts first mend and then learn to love again. The author also throws in some very enjoyable surprises.

When Kelsea’s wedding is called off right before the wedding and the honeymoon is nonrefundable, she tries try to make the best of it. She is going to enjoy herself in the Caribbean for a hard-earned vacation and try to figure out her next move or her plan B as her mom would say. When the owners of the all-inclusive resort try a little match making, Kelsea might find more than she is prepared for. A new love interest is the last thing she is looking for.

The humor and quick wit in the book make it enjoyable and a quick read. The book has some twists that make it unpredictable. I loved Rose and Ike and how they knew exactly what to say as mentors for the young couple. I really enjoyed the love story!

I would really recommend reading this book. I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own and I was not required to leave a positive review.

Plan B is a completely adorable romance with an unusual twist. Take two jilted characters and put them on the same tropical honeymoon island as the only two single people there and you have a prescription for romance. That is if they can get past their instant dislike of one another. This dislike adds some cute and humorous moments as Kelsea and Landon are paired up at dining events by the sweet match-making owners of the resort. Some of the banter between the two and Kelsea's thoughts of Landon had me laughing out loud.

Soon though, dislike turns to attraction. The chemistry between the characters coupled with the locale makes for page-turning romance. Plan B certainly kept me turning pages all the way to the end. The tender, happy ending had me turning the last page with a big smile on my face. Can't wait to read the other books in the St. Clair Family Series.

What’s a girl or guy supposed to do when they get dumped either right before or at their wedding ceremony? Both couples planned their weddings and arranged their honeymoons, but then their respective intendeds canceled their wedding plans. So Brandon and Kelsea embark on their respective honeymoons alone. But when the resort caters only to married couples, the two find themselves thrown together.

Add in the married couple who run the resort and matchmaking must begin. I loved the characters in this book and the plotline. Rose and Ike Goldman bring so much to this story.

So if you like stories about couples and having a “Plan B”, check out this story for yourself.

This is my first time reading this author, and while I’m not usually a straight romance type of reader, I really enjoyed this book. It was the perfect escape from all the heaviness in life right now. The characters were engaging and believable; I was drawn into the story and I enjoyed the clean storyline. This is a book that will appeal to readers of Christian romance who enjoy a lighthearted story with some substance of a storyline. I love that it’s a series and I can continue reading more stories from this author.

I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit but was not under any obligation to write a review. All opinions are strictly mine.

I thought this book was incredibly cute. Both Kelsea and Landon were fun to get to know. I liked their chemistry and the conflcit between them. It’s what makes the story well done. St. Jardin sounds so fun and romantic. I wish I could go! I really liked the Goldman’s. They were so cute and in love with each other. Plan B isn’t always what we want but sometimes it’s the best for you. I like that the reader can learn valuable truths right along with Kelsea and Landon.

I recommend this story to my family and friends.

This is a good book. Contemporary romance at its best. It's understandable if you lose love, you just want to get away and not have to think about things or feel. Kelsea and 'Brandon' both need to do just that. The author does a great job with them.

I loved their first meeting. Rose was a character and a half. Overall, I think the author had to have a blast writing this. There are a lot of comedic moments, but there is more to it as well. Sometimes our Plan B is really God's Plan A we just had to go through our trials to get there.

5/5

"Plan B" by Erin Stevenson is a fun clean read. It is the first book in the series. It has a couple of twists. There was a few laugh out moments. This was a fast read. I hope I get to review the other two books in the series. I recommend this book if you like books where the guy and girl doesn't like each other at the start of the story. The characters are the ones where you wish you could meet them and become friends with them.

I received a contemporary copy by the author and Celebrate Lit and these opinions are my own.

Plan B is the first book I have had the pleasure reading by Erin Stevenson. It is, also, the first installment from St. Clair Family series. I thought it was good. I enjoyed getting to know Kelsea and Landon. The story was some what predictable but still an entertaining read. I loved the beautiful setting of St. Jardin. Who wouldn’t want to spend time in that place? It was such a gorgeous and romantic place. I thought it was a perfect addition of the couple of Rose and Ike. They were a pure delight to meet.

I am giving Plan B four stars. I look forward to reading the next book from the St. Clair Family series, Home to You. I recommend this one for readers who enjoy reading clean and inspiring romance.

I received Plan B from the publisher. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

Great story with some quality moments. Though some of the dialogue seemed too cliche in my opinion, and overall it didn't feel like the most refined book ever... However, that said, it was an enjoyable read, and that shouldn't stop you from picking up a copy. 4 stars, but I see this author improving a lot in the near future.

Fun read

I enjoyed the characters and the laughter. Good writing, although the jump from first person to third was sometimes jolting. All in all, good book.

Plan B by Erin Stevenson is the most delightful contemporary Christian romance. It is the first book in the St Clair Family series and I cannot wait for the next two books – good job I am reading a three in one omnibus!
Erin Stevenson has created really fun, warm and amusing characters who bounce their dialogue off each other. I adored the interactions between Mr Gopher and Miss Porcupine… “Who are they?” I hear you cry. I am afraid you must read the book to find out. I loved the matchmaker who wore pink converses and was as much in love with her husband now as fifty three years ago. This book proves that you do not need the internet to set up matches made in heaven, just an elderly lady with determination, kindness in her heart and the ability to spot the perfect pairing.
The setting is idyllic. With full descriptions, the reader can almost smell the exotic flowers and feel the warmth of the Caribbean.
Life may surprise us but it never surprises God. Who knows, our plan B might just be God’s plan A. We need to hang on and trust God’s perfect timing. “He knew God was here, and everything was going to be alright.”
I really loved Plan B. My heart is warmed and life feels good when we know that God is in control, no matter what our circumstances look like to us. God sees the bigger picture.
A fabulous read that has left me smiling. It’s on to book two now, Home To You… watch this space, review to follow.

Plan B by Erin Stevenson is a contemporary Christian romance. It is the first book in the St Clair Family series. It is a easy read and I cannot wait for the next two books. Kelsea Anderson is going to go on her honeymoon. Without the groom. She is hurt, but knows that she paid for the honeymoon - she might as well enjoy it. She jumps on a plane and heads to the Caribbean. She needs to figure out her Plan B - since the one she thought was going to happen did not. I mean, who can go wrong with going to the Caribbean?
We also meet Landon St. Clair who was left at the alter. He also goes to the Caribbean on his honeymoon without the bride. Then you factor in Rose and Ike Goldman. They own the resort. Rose was a former matchmaker so when Kelsea and Landon both show up with no spouse - Rose puts plans into action.
The characters that the author has created are some of the most fun and entertaining I have ever read. I cannot wait to read the next book. I received a copy of this book through the Celebrate Lit blogging program - all thoughts are my own.

Plan B by Erin Stevenson is a wonderful feel good story! It made me smile, laugh and sigh contentedly. Inspirational romantic fiction is one of my favorite genres. Loved the characters! And the setting – what could be better than a tropical island paradise! The plot is original and fun! The conversations are witty and fun! All of the characters are memorable. Fast paced story! Can’t wait to read the next book in this series – The St. Claire Family series – Coming Home. Looking forward to seeing where the author takes me next. I would recommend this book for those that enjoy romance, inspirational fiction and feel-good stories. This book is definitely worth the read!
