I read this book from beginning to end. But I did not find any satisfaction in it. The storyline of Helen meeting Marcus in Barbados at her best friend, Oliva and James, wedding. Michelle, Helen's other good friend offered her a personal assistant position as she tours LA. Helen accepts. In LA she runs into Marcus again and they begin their insta-love relationship. Marcus's personality was more realistic than Helens. Helen had an annoying way about her. At any little problem she would get upset. Her inner dialogue was constantly putting herself down. She always thought she was in the wrong and her friends were in the right. Although Marcus said she was "gutsy" I could not see it. And as far as this being a Bad Boy MC romance, I think it could have been titled differently. Marcus did not belong to any motorcycle club, so no MC. He was not a bad boy. He was running from danger and trouble for the last few years. This book was okay. I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This was an enjoyable read. Helen is out on tour with her friend, Here she meets Marcus. However, he is a troubled man. We eventually find out why. Just when things are going good she finds out that things at home aren't so good. She goes home and with help from Marcus things are taken care. In the end everyone is happy and free to do what they want.

Helen works with her parents at their supermarket and has always lived up in the mountains but has dreamed of leaving for the city life. She attends her friends wedding, a biker turns up in the distance and she gets brave she wants to know who he is????? Marcus is the grooms long time friend they lost touch, an ex Marine who is on the run for things he didn't do but he leaves after getting each others names. Helen gets the opportunity to go on a short tour with her friend who is doing her first concerts in LA and that's where Marcus turns up on her first night there. Even though Helen and Marcus both know they shouldn't be together, him because of the major danger he is in and her because she will be going back home soon they can't help the attraction. Helen feels alive with him and Marcus feels acceptance and peace with her. This is definitely a book that you don't want to put down it will keep you on the edge in suspense throughout it until the end.

This is one of those books that after reading the first few chapters, I went back to see if I missed something and then read the author's catalog to see what book I missed. There is a disconnect at the very beginning almost like the book was supposed to be later in the series of stand-alone stories. Once I got through the confusion, this was an enjoyable book.

The characters are developed and there is a very clear plot to Marcus and Helen's story. She is a bit annoying, but I could see why he liked her (and also why she is how she is). There is a bit of suspense and intrigue to this story which made it more than a typical romance.

I found it to be a relatively quick read and was able to put it down to adult and pick it up again seamlessly.

I will read more of this series as they come out.

This book was so confusing for me. First, there are so many people in it, I couldn’t keep them straight. Sometimes, I didn’t even know who was talking because there would be 5 people in a setting. Second, this is not an MC book. It’s just a guy who rides a motorcycle. Third, it’s back and forth on whether the H was in the Army or Marines. Fourth, h is boring and lacks personality. She needs her friends to boost her confidence all the time. I did like the H’s personality though (most of it anyway). Sometimes he would play mind games. It was aggravating but it gave me “feelings” so I knew I was invested in the book.
I hate that it’s not written in first person pov which is a personal preference.
I didn’t notice any grammar or misuse of words. Also, the author doesn’t repeat herself just to fill pages.

I just...I can't. This book has no backstory of who these characters are. It doesn't follow along with book #1, which is confusing.

These characters are something else too. Helen sees a man on a bike and NEEDS to know who he is. She then magically goes to the same location he lives randomly and she gets on the back of his bike trusting a stranger. Then, without knowing anything about him, has sex with him, then gets mad when he takes her home instead of talk to her. It's called hooking up, a one night stand...

And the story is so boring. Nothing is happening and Helen is just getting upset with Marcus.

... this book just isn't for me sadly. But I see many readers have loved it so hopefully I'll stay in the minority of my feelings. I'm glad I got a chance to read this novel.

Helen lives a boring life working at her parents supermarket living in the mountains. She lives through her friends lives who are singers living the life in the big cities according to her. She meets a mysterious guy at her friends wedding, but that is the extent of it, until one of her friends asks her to be her assistant and travel to LA with her. There she sees the mysterious guy again, Marcus and their whirlwind of a relationship starts, he's on the run from the military and she is falling hard for him. This is not an MC story and it took me awhile to read the book, because I honestly was not that into it. Helen is very self doubting and does a lot of self talking throughout the book and needs her friends to boost her up a lot.

This book has action, suspense & some hot & steamy scenes. Helen & Marcus meet briefly at their friend's wedding. When Helen is asked to be a PA, she decides this would be the one time she can do something exciting for herself. When she gets to California, she sees Marcus again. He warns her that she should stay away, but she can't, their attraction & chemistry to each other is too strong. She puts everything on line to be with Marcus. Will they be able to be together or will Marcus' past or her family troubles ruin their chance? I don't want to give too much away, so you'll have to read the book to find out what happens.

Helen has an awesome group of friends even though they come from different backgrounds. Who know by going to friend wedding in Barbados you might meet the love of your life for a brief second? The roller coaster ride you will go on with the mystery man name Marcus. He shows up when Helen least expects it. She finds out the truth about why he is so secretly to only lose him and it maybe forever due to horrible stuff that the government decided to make Marcus out as a traitor from his time in military. This story will keep you on your toes with action, suspense, love Marcus has for Helen. I was giving an ARC and was glad I got to read this book.

A quick, easy and engrossing read! Marcus Donovan is a man of mystery but a mystery that Helen Weir is ready to find out about. Marcus seems like a good guy with a good heart and sense of commitment that one would not normally think would come from a Bad Boy Biker. As he opens up to Helen we find there is more to Marcus than meets the eye. I definitely enjoyed this book as I like intrigue and suspense interspersed within hot sexy scenes and this book has them all. As I stated this is a quick read and should be on you TBR list.

This the 2nd time reading this book and I enjoyed just as much as the 1st time! Helen and Marcus meets unexpectedly at a wedding in Barbados and things go on a crazy journey for them. There are really great twists, some danger and romance! We all enjoy some true love and this one has some problems. The connection and attraction between Marcus and Helen is wonderful to see develop. Marcus is an ex military man and Helen is a small town girl. Watching them develop their relationship is what makes their story! I voluntarily received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Omg totally lost myself in this book.
This book has it all suspense thriller romance.
Helen is in Barbados to celebrate her friends wedding where she meets a totally hot biker. When she went home she couldn’t get her mind off him, Marcus. Read this book

Just after just a chapter and a half? I can honestly and happily, say that this book is good now as it was when I first read this book. It was one of the first few books I read back when I just started out with my KU account. So, it's a refresher for me.

But this book I would definitely recommend to everyone. I am looking forward to reading the rest of this series.

Very well thought out characters and the plot was believable, yet fast paced. The ending wasn't expected

Their story is full of suspense, danger and you will be sucked in from the start. I received a copy of this book.

Let me start of by saying I was confused as to this story being classed as an MC romance, as there is nothing regarding MC in this story, and Marcus does not belong to one. However, Marcus is ex military that is presumed dead by the government, and Helen is drawn to him at first sight. This is a steamy read which has intrigue and suspense, as well as danger and love and is a well written page turner. I look forward to reading more of this authors’ work.

I read this book in Riding Hard Books 1-5. I would say that this was a ok book. The love story between Marcus and Helen start out really slow and the sex scenes could have been written better. The story gets really good around the chapter 20 area where its hard to put down, but the ending could have been a little better on describing what really happened. I did not see much of a bad biker in this story maybe the other books will when I read them in order off of unlimited.

It took me a while to get into this book, but as soon as it grabbed me I couldn't put it down. Kylie Parker had so many twists and turns and had me at times wanting to reach out with fists through the tears. I also loved how songs were brought into the equation and so relevant to the situation.
