This book was an enjoyable first read for planning a trip to Ireland next year. The flight is booked, the Air BNB reserved, but we didn't have any idea what to do once we got there. Enter this book.

I would not call this the end-all-be-all travel book to Dublin, but it's a really good stepping stone into planning. It will help you to see there are a lot of opportunities in Dublin besides a local bar. Not that a local bar isn't fun either, but you'll be able to explore the city as well with this book.

I love everything about this book! I’ve wanted to visit Ireland for quite sometime now so I’ve looked at many other books. Recently I discovered this one and it’s the most informative book I’ve read yet! It’s so well written and humorous so I want to read it over and over. I highly recommend reading this one! (And visiting Ireland)

Hilarious yet informative. The sarcasm is fairly clear, but avoid this book if you don’t do well with picking up on sarcastic tones in writing. Be careful about some of the statistics. I appreciate the color brought to the anecdotes and explanations.

I never had any particular interest in going to Dublin before reading this book, but you can sign me up for a trip any time now. Murphy and O'Dea's breezy tone doesn't obscure the the vast quantity of history and cool architecture to explore, and the long list of great pubs doesn't hurt either. Now I just need to find someone willing to haul me out to Ireland for a month or two of working vacation.
