One of the best and most thorough books I have read about sustainability - what the issues are and how to address them. Covers everything from climate change to water to waste to material flows and more. Written in 2000 as well - I'd love to see a new edition and discover whether any of the recommendations or situations have changed.

A great roadmap for sustainability in Australia (and in general) that everyone should adopt.
