Development Planning at the Grassroots

Rate this book
This book is a collection of lectures by the author over the course of previous decade, in which he shows the history of development planning in India, especially spatial and ICT led, and the few experiments he was personally involved in. He proposes many way aheads, some of which have been implemented in a different format.
A good read to understand the history and some divergent approaches to regional development planning.

While the author repeats himself across various lectures, which form the book chapters, overall an interesting read to understand the regional planning perspectives, decentralised planning and its history in India. I wish i had laid hands on this book a few months earlier.
