After what had come to feel like an eternity, Takio has finally broken free. Ondria’s aid has been secured, along with the aid of the Wavebinder and his Tideborn. Darren’s army has been fought to a standstill, and the border belongs to the Riverguard.
For once, it almost seems like things are looking up.
With every second that passes, though, Drenwell and its Chosen have another opportunity to turn the tide. The race to Drenwell City is on, for the last of the Four has yet to reveal himself. The Everdark remains yet in hiding, lurking in the shadows cast by his brother, and whoever finds him first and claims his aid will tip the balance of the war in their direction.
Takio and his allies have no choice but to seek out the reclusive Divine, hunting through the parts of the capital where Rellan’s light has yet to reach. That search, though, also means putting themselves within arm’s reach of the Order - and Darren.
With the fight beginning to draw to a close, the deadly hunt is on.

Her stories tend towards the more personal - she favors first person or over-the-shoulder third person that matches punchy, fast-paced storytelling with ongoing internal dialogue.

Fantastic third book in the series. The goal is clear from the start, but the way they go about it, getting into trouble every which way is amazing and I absolutely love the new characters that are added. A great read.
The Flameweaver Saga continues, constantly teasing the ending we all want to see thanks White's fantastic writing of Takio's journey back to Drenwell. Seeking out new allies turns out to be a dangerous game, and this book managed to keep me on my toes, wondering what threat is around each corner, how things could go wrong. It isn't without its comic moments, as each of the characters really find their literary footing and earn their moments to laugh and be laughed out, or tender moments. With some surprise returns (and not so surprise, looking at you Darren), I look forward too seeing how the spark lit at the end of the book ignites in the next installment.
Really enjoying reading this series. There are a few spots that need minor technical editing for grammar or word omission, but they are not enough to destroy the underlying story.
