While this is a pretty comprehensive collection of cake recipes and decorating tips, it hasn't aged particularly well with many of the recipes being either well known or replaced by tastier alternatives and some of the techniques having been replaced by the advent of readily available stamping, cutter and other equipment.

I love this book!
I basically taught myself to bake cakes using this book.
My children loved the birthday cakes I made for them following the wonderful instructions!
