If you know nothing about coding like me, this is the perfect book. I wanted to learn C++, but I just never had the time to learn. I took a course on it a few years back, but found the instructor to be confusing. I was happy to find this book from Ray Yao about how to learn C++ in 8 hours. The book is broken down in a way that is easy to understand and easy to work through. I felt as though this was the most efficient way to learn C++ and it was perfect for a beginner like me.
Very insightful read on one of the most difficult programming languages out there: C++. I've dabbled in many different programming languages and using myriad "how-to" books, but I was never able to stick with it due to the esoteric instruction and explanations that appears to be a theme of these kinds of books. This book however is very unequivocally written and is very easy to follow along with; meaning that I can now give programming another chance! Absolutely recommend this for beginners!
