Shy and reclusive, BigFoot spends most of his time in the deep dark woods, rarely spotted by humankind. But the bright lights of the big city beckon to everyone, even our mysterious furry friend! Sharpen your search and find skills by locating BigFoot at his favorite metropolis. It won't be easy! BigFoot is visiting ten major cosmopolitan destinations, from Chicago and Sydney to Prague, Shanghai, Edinburgh, and more. This handsome hardcover book presents each urban oasis as an immense two-page visual puzzle, full of teeming people and creatures. Your task is not only to find BigFoot and his legendary footprint, but also more than 500 other unusual and sometimes unexpected personalities and objects. Fun facts and pictures accompany each scene to help you learn more about the world's most popular cities.
Where's Big Foot. A take off from Where's Waldo. Lot of fun city facts for each seek and find. City specific artwork that cleverly hides many of the "to-be-found" objects. Each item has a count specific goal. Good luck finding and tracking all the items without marking up the pages! Some of the items are not fully shown or are hiding partially behind the art. So keep sharp eyes are portions of items rather than the whole item. Big Foot and the Legendary Footprint are often very difficult to find.
An erasable pen or washable pages would make this perfect for repeating the games over and over.
BigFoot Goes on Big City Adventures is a fun and educational book! I love books that have little captions of information along with lots of illustrations to not overload the reader and also keep their attention. The books starts off with some background information on the legend of BigFoot. Then it takes you to several cities around the world, giving you facts and details of each city, coupled with a hidden picture page of that city with BigFoot hidden in each of the cities. I think my 11 year-old homeschooled son would enjoy reading this book! In fact, I plan on having him read it this next week. I think it would make a great addition to any school library or homeschooling family. Thank you to Happy Fox Books and NetGalley for this advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.
A book that mixed seek and find and an information on various cities and on the Bigfoot myth. The informative part is well done, simple enough but with good picture to illustrate what they talk about so kids can have a picture as a reference (4/5). The seek and find on the other hand is very lame. Poor quality of illustrations and way too easy to be even fun (1/5). Depending on what you want and are looking for... But overall there are others books that does the job better
I like this concept a lot and for the most part I think this book delivers. I loved seek-and-find books as a kid and am excited that there are more options for my daughter - and I really love the educational aspect that goes along with this book. It's a fun combo and it makes a lot of sense. The art is serviceable. But there was one thing that really bothered me.
In the part about Chicago, if the author is going to discuss the Great Migration, it can't just say "when people moved there from southern states looking for jobs." It *has* to say that it was black people moving north. The discussion is about *jazz music*, the Great Migration was black people moving north from the southern states, and it's a part of Chicago history that there was a large influx of black people at that time, and when you get deeper into Chicago history and look at red-lining and housing covenants and segregation it all ties together. Obviously I don't expect all of that history in a children's seek-and-find book, but I also don't expect whitewashing of an important part of our national history. If I bought this book for my daughter, I would absolutely literally make that edit to the text before I could give it to her. Like, with a pen. Children's literature has a responsibility to be accurate and teach history the way it actually happened. I happen to know a lot about Chicago history because I live here and feel strongly about it, so that makes me wonder what else is elided from this book that I don't happen to know about.

I can't say enough about these books. My kids love them, and I keep them in the car. Even after months of being exploring them, they are still engaged and delight in checking them out, as do all of the friends we frequently carpool. Friends of all ages, by the way! These Bigfoot books are truly magical and my dream remains to hook my kids up with the author and blow their minds! We are in love, truly :)
I like look and find puzzles and doing them with my Granddaughter. This was a fun book following Bigfoot to all different places. I really liked the beginning and information on Bigfoot. This is a fun and educational book for all ages.
BigFoot goes on big city adventures.was a fantastic book. It had lots of things for us to do, it reminded me of the where's waldo books from my childhood. Me and my child spent hours looking for items in the book, reading the pages, and then discussing it afterwords. This book is fantastic and we are going to see if there are anymore by this author, we will definitely be buying this one.

What a cool way to set up a seek and find book! I loved the opportunity to learn more about the legend of Bigfoot as well as countries the world. My kids are going to love it!
Lots of information to keep the book adventure going, illustrations were simplistic and the items were hidden well. My biggest complaint with the set up of this book was that as I paged through the story on my kindle the items to look for were spread out on many pages, meaning the need to flip back and forth between three or four pages took a little away from the fun. The idea of the book is fun and neat, the execution has its problems.
Thanks to NetGalley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.
The book had good information and I enjoyed learning about foreign cities. Given that Bigfoot has been spotted all over the world, I would have enjoyed having more cities from around the world. That would have been a unique feature in this book, instead there were 4 cities from USA.
I did not care for the illustrations. Improved pictures would add so much to the quality and enjoyment of the book. I do like the seek and find challenges.
This is a seek and find book for all ages. What a delightful book and activity that will keep kids entertained and learning for hours. A perfect take-along to a cottage, on a long car or plane trip, or to enjoy on a lazy, rainy, summer's afternoon or freezing snowy day.
It is an interactive book that more than one person can get involved in at the same time which I like. It's always a thrill when the designated items are finally spotted (especially BigFoot) and I love how educational this book is also. Kids enjoy discovering new places and interesting facts about far away destinations. It includes segments on how to properly use the book, what people in other parts of he world call BigFoot, and the one I love the most... an answer key that is tucked in at the end. Trust me I was very thankful for that one. Other books in the series include:
BigFoot Goes on Vacation BigFoot Spotted at World-Famous Landmarks BigFoot Visits the Big Cities of the World BigFoot Goes Back in Time BigFoot Goes on Great Adventures BigFoot Activity Book BigFoot Fun Book!
The book is designed as a two-page visual puzzle brimming with people, creatures and activity. Not only does BigFoot make an appearance in each city but the talented author has embedded more than 500 other items for readers to hunt down and expose. This book, filled with fun facts and added pictures, makes learning about the world's most popular cities fun and engaging. I highly recommend this book.
I didn't like this book. I wasn't a fan of the Illustrations and found the layout odd. I wonder if the physical copy is better and makes more sense than the e-book.
