The book was full with different articles and about 75% of them gave me good ideas to implement with my teams. The only thing I didn’t like is that some articles dated from 2015 or even before and, being that we are in 2021, things have changed, so I would have liked newer articles. But other than that, the rest of the articles were not that old, and you can see the amount of work they put into creating this book. It was a good reading.
I love this book because of two reasons. One, I am currently interested in intrinsic motivation and this book often mentioned this topic. Two, this book has a lot of academic research backed up, thus it is not only an opinion from someone. The contents presented in this book, to me, is reliable and very useful.
Nothing new, and typical to an hbr guide it’s mostly repetitive. Last topic was almost like an advertisement of an external company. Not much to learn overall.
