In the fall of 1930, Dr. Sumrall was a sick teenager facing death from the ravages of tuberculosis. Called to preach the gospel in a vision while on his deathbed, he was healed by God and within just three weeks set out to begin what would be a life-long journey. He began preaching in the back country of Florida and Tennessee. From there he traveled hundreds of thousands of miles to all parts of the world, preaching and starting churches that are still growing today. First published in 1983, Lester Sumrall tells his life story in this celebration of his fifty years in the gospel ministry. He describes his dramatic call to preach and recounts his far reaching adventures as a missionary and evangelist.
