I felt like this book taught a good lesson on colors but I feel that it was so busy. It was hard for me as a reader to just look at the colors. I was all over the page looking at the bubbles where all the characters were talking. SO even though it was good at teaching colors I feel like it lacked keeping me focused and interested in learning colors.
Activity: I would like to after reading this book have the children use watercolors and paint a picture of whatever they want using as many different colors as they would like. When the children were finished I would have each child share their painting and tell us what colors they used and why they used them
I think this is a great intro to colors and would probably be very interesting to someone who loved Sesame Street, especially. My 1-year old son was not particularly interested or uninterested in this. Probably he would like it more if he had ever seen Sesame Street. I'm guessing this would be better for a slightly older child.
