As it progresses the story follows the writer as he finds his voice. Through his darkest moments his writing shines brightest. As the writer notices change he periodically comments, "nostalgia is..." followed by an observation of change. This insight is some of his best writing and establishes the overall mood of his stories. The main story line follows his path, but the side stories show his skill as a story teller. For fans of not so happy endings. For fans of long goodbyes.
