Breeze realizes that his lifestyle is not sustainable in the long run. The constant turmoil is taking its toll on his aging mind and body. During a particularly stressful moment, he has the sudden inspiration to make a radical change. Events conspire to postpone the start of his new life. With Brody at his side, he embarks on one last wild nautical adventure. Could this be the end for Breeze?
Benevolent Breeze: Trawler Trash Book 11 is by Ed Robinson. This is the last of this particular series, although the main characters will start appearing in a new series. I started with this book having never heard of this series before. I do believe I need to go back and start this series. This book was just plain cute although adventurous. I liked it so much that I couldn’t put it down until I finished making it a very late night. Breeze and his lady friend, Brody, are minding their own business on board their boat when a yacht comes barreling through and ends up on the shore near them. Upon investigating, they find the owner dead with aa note saying whoever found it could have the yacht. Breeze ends up with the yacht and he and Brody take it, full of supplies, to Puerto Rico for the victims of the hurricanes. They then sell the yacht and give the money to the workers on Puerto Rico. They then get pulled into madness when they agree to ferry a friend’s new yacht to Florida and put new security on it. Where will this all end? Will they ever get to move to a cabin in the mountains?
This series has been amazing for me to enjoy. Kudos to Mr. Robinson for his imagination and insight into the world of South Florida. Thanks .
Being a Midwestern boy working in a manufacturing plant, I visited South Florida regularly. After 25 years the plant closed and I bought a pickup and camper and headed to Naples. I spent 10 years living the dream and visited many of the places described in these books. Back in the Midwest again but able to continue my adventures thanks to these books.
I have read all the books in this series and have enjoyed everyone. Someday soon I will be making that same leap of faith and I look forward to visiting some of the spots that Breeze frequented but without all the excitement. Quite frankly I'm a little surprised how the series ended. I would highly recommend this book and series to read especially while sitting on a boat sipping rum or on a beach with a cold beer.
Ed Robinson chronicles the life of Meade Breeze so beautifully that I have fallen in love and in awe with this middle aged madman. Breeze is at his best alone in Pelican Bay but always seems to find himself embroiled in another mission. Whether it be for a friend or charity, the unexpected happens. Come ride the waves and soak up the sun of South Florida, Breeze style. Best to start with the first book to really get the full story.
I have read both Breeze series and enjoyed them all. If you like adventure, drama always wanted to be a boat bum, you will love the Breeze books. Even got to see my name in one of the books. I think it was in book ten and and was a part of a current event political story that founts way into the story line. I have been on the news a lot too as my name is Michael Flynn. Coincidence, as I’m not the famous General.
Another good book about the water about the water and the life of breeze . Enjoyed thoroughly as I did many of his other books . Wish I could be on that boat and have those adventures . But I must center my chair and look over the water and dream
I just finished the Trawler Trash series and I thoroughly enjoyed them. I moved to south Florida a few years ago to sell boats and I have been reading series depicting life and adventure in the area and I would recommend this series for both, adventure and learning about the area. I enjoyed all of the characters and am getting ready to continue the adventure with the Mountain Breeze books.
Great series. Realistic characters and adventures. I read the entire series straight through. I could not put the books down.
Great series. Realistic characters and adventures. A good amount of detail without getting boring. I read the entire series straight through. I could not put the books down.
Another entertaining if implausible book in the Breeze series. I have enjoyed the entire series. However, I don’t plan on following Breeze into his adventures in the mountains. I love the water and boats too much!
As a sailor i enjoy Ed Robinson's savvy nautical writing which miss into always a good yarn. I am looking forward to see where Breeze ends up next. As always this was a very enjoyable read!
Loved.the way the author weaved real life issues.into the storyline. Unfortunately I live in Ft. Myers and there is no hope for a solution to our water problems. I wish Breeze wasn't fictional!! Just a great series and I look.forward to North Carolina!!
Keeps you on the edge of your seat. Really enjoyed
Enjoyed. Keeps you on the edge of your seat. I am reading this while traveling on the Silver Spirit, small cruise ship in a lot of the country that your settings take place.
A great series! I've read them all & enjoyed them all!
I love a series of books where you really get to know the characters. Breeze is a character I'd love to meet & enjoy a few cold ones while listening to him talk about the latest adventure he'd been on!
Nice finish to the series. Sometimes you need a change of venue to keep your life fresh or stay out if trouble. Somehow I doubt Breeze and Brody will fade quietly into the background in the mountains.
The author transition readers who love the ocean around Florida and the port of calls encountered into land lovers cabin and all. Great story, excellent descriptions of places and times. Well done!!!!
Just when you think its over, its not really over. The adventure continues to the end. What a way to end. Get um while you can, revenge is a sweet thing sometimes! Rock on
I really love this series. I was so sad and choked up when Breeze was on Miss Leap for the last time. Can't wait to see how Breeze & Brodie handle the mountains.
The Breeze series is nothing short of great entertaining stories. I will miss Breeze on the southern waters but all sailors eventually drop anchor someplace.
