The World's Best Tennis Vacations

Rate this book
A friend of mine looked at me in disbelief recently when I said I needed a vacation and wouldn't mind going to tennis camp. Writing about tennis camps and resorts is what I do for a living, and in a typical year I travel to scores of them in the course of researching travel assignments. The notion that I would turn around and do for fun what I do as a profession struck her as bizarre bordering on the obsessive. She thought of camp as a kind of repair shop for tennis strokes, a place to take one's game for a tune-up or overhaul. Thus, it seemed to her that, as often as I attended, whatever the tennis-camp pros could do for my game must already have been done. What was the point, she asked, in my going again? Read the book to find out.
