After receiving her Masters of Education in Teaching English as a Foreign Language she determined to indulge her passion for fiction writing. Teaching both in the USA and abroad has exposed Danni to a wide range of people from all walks of life and she tries to capture that unique character in her work.
I had a hard time not giving one of Ms. Roan's books a 5 star review but compared to her other's this one just didn't work for me. I found the heroine completely unlikable but I realize that is probably just me. I realize she was dealing with old hurts and needed forgiveness and restoration that only Christ can give but I need to be able to relate to a character in order to really love a book and I didn't relate to her at all. Our hero on the other had was wonderful and his relationship with is daughter is why I gave it 4 stars. Their relationship alone makes this book worth reading.
This book says a lot about how faith can overcome the troubles in your life and lead you to a fullfilled life. Hunter was a former wild boy brought to his knees by a pregnancy, death and the life with a premature child. He gave his life over to god and lived a peaceful life with his young daughter. Florence is struggling with life due to finding her chance, taking it and then living the too much too soon lifestyle. It lands her back home with her mother whom she has a tenuous relationship at best and a lot of baggage from her youth. Anger and frustration are her greatest bog downs with life in a small Wyoming town after California life. Hunter wants to find a way to connect with her and share his realizations about God helping him in his life struggles. Florence is determined to do everything she can to stay away. In comes Elsie his young daughter. Will she be the connection they both need to cement their relationship? This book is a must read... You will enjoy everything about it. I laughed, cried and felt so frustrated at times. Truly a book that brings out emotion. I received a copy of this book for review. All opinions in this review are my own.
If you like clean and Godly books you will love this book. All Florence Host ever wanted growing up was a dependable father as her mom went from man to man, all leaving them to fend for themselves. Now, a grown woman she doesn't believe in God nor will she ever depend on a man or anyone else. Her mistakes and debt lands her in small town Wyoming. Hunter Tate is a single father raising his daughter after his past lifestyle had led to the death of his wife and a premier daughter. Hunter's surrender to God had given him the strength and love to raise Elsie. A chance encounter at the local Diner Florence meets Hunter and Elsie. That is when the struggles begin eventually leading Florence heading back to the big city and determined not let God and the Hunter/Elsie team crack her independent shield. But she then meets the mysterious man while trying to fix a flat.
Good story. The characters were well done and it was a well told story that moved along nicely.
Most of the characters are people I want to meet.... There there's the female lead. She's pretty awful a lot of the time. Well written, but she's got a major chip on her shoulder. We get to know why she behaves and believes as she does, so that helps.
I love that her "conversion moment" was so low key. Kind of a "Oh, now I get it" kind of thing that she immediately acts on. In reality, the entire story tells of seeds that are being planted in her heart.
I recommend this work by Danni Roan to anyone interested in a clean sweet Christian heartwarming love story. I fell in love with Elsie and Hunter they just took my heart and ran with it. So happy they helped Florence find her Faith and Trust in Love. 🍧 Ice Cream accomplishes alot 🍧💞. Danni Roan is new to me, However I find my E-Library quickly filling with her books 🍧📚💕
Once again a another beautiful Christian romance. This story is wonderful written , showing that we don't have to carry out sorrows, our heartbreak alone. God is quietly waiting for us to come to Him.
Struggling to be independent and strong refusing to feel a need for others because of a bruised heart a loner finds friendship and love in middle America and church and prayers lead her home.
So very refreshing, a man courting a woman the old fashion way. Hunter has a little to raise. You have to admit it, Florence is one mixed up young woman,, she doesn't know Christ, but will soon enough eşcx
Really enjoyed the storyline and meeting the characters of Florence, Hunter, and Elsie. Florence takes us on a journey with relatable traits that draw you right in.
This is one of my favorite series and this story is by one of my favorite authors. In addition to being an engaging story with clever characters, Falling Forward boasts one of the most surprising, creative would I have read.
When Florence came to live with her mom in Nowhere, she felt she was seeking to pay her debts and move back to California. Hunter and Elie were just entertainment to pass the time.
This was a clean mindless type read. I certainly have never run across a main character like this who was so angry at men. This book has a lot of editing issues and basic spelling issues which totally kills the storyline.
Florence had a lot to learn - about herself. I loved the way Hunter loved his daughter and included her in all aspect of his life. I truly loved the way God moved.
I'm really enjoying this series and watching God work in the lives of the characters. I loved Florence and Hunter's story and especially little Elsie. A wonderful read.
