If you have a serious interest in prophetic literature, then this is a must read. Steck warns his readers of the results that come from the wrong questions being asked about the prophetic books. Steck calls for his readers to get back to the mindset of the original audience of the prophetic books and read them as an ancient. Until one does this, then any sort of redaction or form critical analysis will be unfruitful.
