Trespassers mean trouble. When werebears Ryder, Dillon and Ford detect the unwelcome scent of wolves on their land, they follow the scent and witness an incredible scene. A wounded human female is fighting a pack of wolves on her own, and screaming insults at their leader. The woman has a death wish, but they are not about to let her die.
Penny finds herself in the house and arms of three insanely hot, hunky lumberjacks. As she fights her growing attraction to her three fierce, handsome protectors, Penny has to grapple and come to terms with the harsh and heartbreaking reality of her situation. But the ugly truth is always better than a beautiful lie.

This is the first story I've read by Natalie Kristen. I love trying new to me authors. It's always fun to see if I'll like them or really, really, hate them.
When I choose this one to read I was looking for something different. Yes, I do read paranormals, but I hadn't in a while plus this one is a little sexier than my usual paranormals. You did see in the title where it said three, right? So I thought, why not!
I have to say, I'm so glad that I did.
I really loved this book. I will admit that it seems like most of this authors stories and novella's but from the ones I've read, I don't feel like I really missing much. I'm still reading them so we'll see.
I really enjoyed the interaction between Penny and the three bears. They are so sweet to her and I love how quickly they know she's the one. That's the great thing about paranormal's at times, they can cut out a bit of the back and forth as the couple fall in love because they can sense their true one and only right away.
That takes away the rushed feeling you might get. You get why they meet and fall in love within the same paragraph. The paranormal's know right away, the human might take a few more sentences to catch up but they usually do quickly.
This is a fun, quick story that if you love paranormal's is perfect to read. Yes, she is shared by three men but I have to admit the story is more about their relationship then taboo sex. Which in a way makes it even better, more real. Yes, they have sex but that's the focal point of the story, the relationship is. The sex is just a bonus.
I never write reviews on books like this but what in the fucking wattpad was this? She was literally sold into marriage because her parents didn’t like her anymore?! The dialogue was nearly unbearable (haha bear). Bro literally said “m’lady” unironically. They all talked like they were on an ABC family show that didn’t know what the word subtle meant. This was ALL tell and not show. I wish it gave me more. More detail and more time with the men.
I liked how well the author painted the scenes and helped you connect to the characters. It was almost painful to read the abuse that Penny endured. I had a hard time putting down this book.
I didn’t like that there were grammar errors. What is “chain accident” it was very distracting when reading. I also felt there needed more developing of their relationship with the guys.
I will read the next book in the series and feel this author has promise!
This is an OK reverse harem shifter romance. Penny, Ford, Dillon, and Ryder are likable, and good together. The men even gave Penny plenty of time to realize they were her mates -- that consideration is fairly rare in shifter romances, where the shifter just expects the human to fall as fast as they do.
My issue with this book was all the repetition of the characters' inner thoughts. For example, Penny kept thinking that Gordon must not be an alpha wolf, because he was a coward, and ordered the pack wolves to fight for him -- but that got old, when Penny's thoughts on that were repeated more than once.
Except for the repetition of inner thoughts, and a fairly formulaic shifter plot, this is an entertaining read. It gets 3 stars from me.
My rating system is below. 1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it. 2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws. 3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating. 4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one. 5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.
Ryder, Dillon and Ford are bear shifters who have lived together since their parents all died thirteen years ago. Ford was eighteen at the time and took the two fourteen years old friends to live with him. On their way home they hear a woman screaming and smell wolves in their forest. That is how they found Penny. She was being attacked by a group of wolf shifters. When the bears came to the rescue the wolves fled but not before one of them bit Penny hard on the shoulder. Penny discovered that the bite was meant to change her. She told the men about her parent's betrayal. Ryder, Dillon and Ford also discover that she is their mate. This is a cute story about love and acceptance after abuse. Ryder is my favorite out of them all. I recommend that you read this book if you like love and romance with three hunky guys who share one girl!
Very good story. Very strong heroine. Loved the plot. Submissive daughter is sold by her parents to a corrupt wolf back but she escapes, saves herself and finds her three bear mates.
I didn't even think Penny would turn out to be an alpha wolf. I'm glad she killed Gordon and Met finally could go free. I was hoping one of the other wolves in the pack was Let's mate. Penny and her three bears, epic.
So basically her parents are trash Andi wish I could’ve read about their karma they so desperately need. Gordon was a loser with mommy issues and his mom was a stupid devil cow. I’m glad she finally found her happiness
It was really good, very exciting, entertaining, enjoyable. I was little surprised by 3 bears and a wolf but everything worked out well. I was happy to read about Meg was still alive after all!!!! Good ending 👏 👌 😌
I really enjoyed this story, I liked the characters. I also liked the way the story developed from a weak, submissive standpoint to one of pride and strength.
