I finished reading this incredible book a week ago and I am still struggling to put in words how it has impacted me. Chief has a way of writing that makes you feel you are right there with him and he touches your SOUL on many levels. Best book I have read. Period.

I’m at a loss for words to describe this book.
Having met Chief as he walked with crutches to attend a speech, then reading his fabulous description of his life and how he ended up on those crutches is so inspiring. His strength to fight and overcome so many hard obstacles from childhood and service to his country is a hard read. Very well written and almost impossible to put down.
Renews my faith in mankind and our ability to overcome life’s hardships. Fight on Chief.
Cannot wait to read book 2.
