Rate this book
And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” -- Romans 10:15 (NIV)

Beautiful Feet tells the story of Maud Elizabeth Hoyle, the daughter of a truck farmer who became an ordained minister in the United Brethren Church in 1909. Over the course of her career, she founded and pastored a new church, served as a medical missionary in Sierra Leone, West Africa for ten years, and then cared for the sick and elderly until the day she died. Although facing many obstacles throughout her life, she walked the path she felt that God had laid out for her and spread the good news of Jesus Christ wherever she went.

This book was written by a friend from church. It is a well researched labor of love. Maud Hoyle was the authors great aunt. Miss Hoyle was a very brave and forward thinking woman. She was a pastor of a church that she was instrumental in building and then a medical missionary in Africa at a time when women were encouraged to stay home. Wonderful book.
