This in-depth look at the rocks and minerals all around us has glorious full-color photos on every page. It is also full of fun facts and activities to deepen understanding and get children using the scientific method in a rudimentary fashion. As such, any elementary teacher looking to pique children's interest in a unit on geology would find this informational text quite effective.

This book told me al the types of rocks, how old they are, etc.
And for most of the book is all about "rocks and minerals".
